HM CINAC is a research centre devoted to Neurosciences funded by Fundación de Investigacion HM Hospitales. It is located in the HM Puerta del Sur Hospital,  in the south of Madrid, providing ready access to clinicians and patients.

HM CINAC possesses a wide range of resources both for clinical and experimental research. At the hospital building, the HM CINAC area is equipped with technology for the performance of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and imaging studies, magnetic resonance (MR) and positron emission tomography (PET) in human subjects and also in animals.

More importantly, the CINAC team is currently well equipped with the technique of focal ultrasound (high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)) as it is currently applied in the hospital for clinical purposes.

The experimental research building contains animal housing facilities, isolated recording rooms, electrophysiological equipment’s, optogenetic devices and fluorescence microscope.
